At the BIA of Central Ohio, our events are more than dates on a calendar. They are intentional moments that bring our local housing and development industry together to connect with peers, advocate for housing, learn from one another, and celebrate the work happening across our region.

As Central Ohio continues to grow and evolve, so does the importance of a strong, informed, and connected building industry. Our 2026 signature events reflect that mission, offering opportunities throughout the year for members to engage with each other.

Annual BIA of Central Ohio Membership Meeting

The BIA’s 2026 event season begins with one of the association’s most meaningful traditions: the Annual Membership Meeting.

This breakfast brings members together to officially kick off the new year, celebrate leadership, and reflect on the shared mission of the housing development industry in Central Ohio. Longstanding traditions, including the passing of the gavel, highlight the continuity and stewardship that guide the association forward.

During the meeting, the BIA will honor Troy Fritz for his service as 2025 Board President and welcome Jonathan Wilcox, Managing Partner at Wilcox Communities, as the 2026 BIA of Central Ohio Board President.

The program will also feature Pat Tiberi, President of the Ohio Business Roundtable and former U.S. Congressman, as the 2026 featured speaker. Tiberi has long been a respected voice on housing, economic growth, and public policy, making his perspective especially timely as Central Ohio continues to experience significant growth.

BIA Pickleball Tournament (2nd Annual!)

After a successful inaugural event, the Pickleball Tournament returns for its second year as a fun, low-pressure way to connect with fellow members.

This event is all about relationships: meeting new people, strengthening existing connections, and engaging with the BIA community in a relaxed setting. Whether you’re competitive or just there for the networking, it’s a reminder that some of the strongest professional relationships start outside the boardroom.

BIA Annual Speed Networking

Builders wanted! Designed with intention, Speed Networking offers members a structured and efficient way to expand their professional circles. The success of this event relies on active builder participation to create meaningful, well-rounded conversations across the industry. By creating space for quick, focused exchanges, Speed Networking helps members identify opportunities for collaboration, partnership, and shared learning.

BIG Night

BIG Night is the BIA’s opportunity to pause and celebrate the people, projects, and achievements that define our industry.

From professional achievement and design to marketing, community impact, and volume-based awards, BIG Night recognizes excellence across the full spectrum of the building industry. It’s a night that brings everyone together—builders, developers, associates, and partners—to celebrate the work that moves Central Ohio’s housing development forward.

Annual BIA Golf Classic

A longstanding tradition, the Golf Classic continues to be one of the BIA’s most popular relationship-building events.

This day on the course provides extended time for conversation and connection, allowing members to foster relationships that support business growth and industry collaboration. It’s a reminder that advocacy and progress are often driven by the relationships built along the way.

Annual BIA Clay Shoot

Presented by Strait & Lamp Lumber

The Clay Shoot rounds out the year with an afternoon focused on teamwork, networking, and industry camaraderie.

Open to all experience levels, this event offers a welcoming environment to connect with peers while enjoying great food and conversation. Teams of five can participate, making it an easy way for companies to engage their teams and strengthen connections across the membership.
