Associates Council
Meets the second Thursday of each month at 8:15 am at the BIA.
Join this council to meet other associate members, as well as builders. You’ll plan and participate in some of the BIA’s most popular major events, including Networking Night.

Build Political Action Committee (PAC)
Meets on an as-needed basis. Closed meeting.
Network with key BIA members, as you support candidates who understand the need for economic growth and who support housing at all economic levels.

Builders & Developers Council
Meets the first Wednesday of each month at 3:30 pm at the BIA.
This council gives members a unique opportunity to develop relationships with government officials as they work together on issues impacting local construction and land development. They connect on issues such as eliminating barriers to affordable housing and acquiring developable land. The council also deals with technical building issues including building codes, inspection problems and code changes.

Certified Professional Builder Committee
Meets the third Wednesday of every other month at 12:00 noon at the BIA. Members of this committee are by appointment only.
This committee ensures that BIA builder members meet high standards by overseeing eligibility requirements for the Certified Professional Builder program and urging builders to participate. It also helps home buyers understand the benefits of using a BIA Certified Professional Builder.

Education Committee
Meets the second Wednesday of each month at 8:30 am at the BIA.
Join this committee and help the BIA offer training and workshops that benefit members and their businesses. The committee plans and coordinates the BIA’s educational programming so the home building industry can recruit, educate and retain skilled employees.

Membership Committee
Meets the second Wednesday of each month at 3:30 pm at the BIA.
Expand your business contacts and help the BIA grow by joining the membership committee. It works to increase the BIA’s ranks and our rate of membership retention, along with creating a greater awareness of membership benefits.

Professional Standards Committee
Meets on an as-needed basis. Members of this committee are by appointment only.
Encourage high quality construction and good customer service in our industry by becoming a part of this committee. It provides self-policing for builders and remodelers, while it helps create favorable perceptions of building industry professionals in our community.

Professional Women in Building Council
Meets the first Friday of each month at 8:30 am at the BIA.
Make connections with women and men interested in promoting professionalism in our industry when you join the Professional Women in Building Council. PWB focuses on networking, education, mentoring and community outreach. This council is the voice of women in the building industry, and it supports our members at the local, state and national levels

Remodelors Council
Meets the first Tuesday of each month at 3:00 pm at the BIA.
Remodelers benefit from joining this council because it helps them learn new and more effective building techniques, as well as ways to influence regulatory changes. Importantly, the council gives remodelers a unique opportunity to gain favorable visibility, particularly through its high-profile annual Showcase of Remodeled Homes.
Remodelors Council Application - There is an annual fee of $60 to join this council.

Sales & Marketing Council (SMC)
Meets the first Wednesday of each month at 11:30 am at the BIA.
Join this council to network with sales and marketing people, and learn the best and newest ways to promote your business. This mini membership will keep you connected to the BIA, and you will receive a subscription to NAHB's Ideas magazine (a $60 value). SMC coordinates the prestigious annual awards program, MAME (Marketing And Merchandising Excellence), and develops seminars for marketing and sales professionals.
