Six times a year, a BIA builder and associate member are profiled in Builder Update magazine. You get excellent value for the profile’s cost of $1,000. You can provide photos, you approve the layout and our writer will tell your story in your own words. Marketing opportunities like this do not come along very often!

Builder/Associate Profile Benefits
- Profiled members receive a two-page spread in the front of the magazine. The builder being profiled is also featured on the cover.
- The BIA's freelance writer, Carol Rich, will interview you and write an article about your company, products and services. You will be able to proof the article and provide input before it goes to print.
- The BIA will come to you for a photo shoot, and you can select which pictures to use in your profile. You will be provided with copies of the photos afterward.
- Once the magazine is printed, it is mailed to nearly 1,000 industry leaders and key decision makers, including builders, remodelers, developers and service professionals in the residential building industry. According to the BIA Communications Audit, 85% of BIA members read the magazine when it arrives in the mail.
- Builder Update is available online, reaching an unlimited number of consumers. Past issues are archived on the website for two years, giving you even longer exposure.
- For two months profiled members are advertised prominently on the homepage of the BIA website, which receives approximately 1,500 visitors a month. The current issue also has its own webpage.
- The BIA will provide you with extra copies of the magazine. You will also receive a CD with a press-quality version of your profile – you can print additional copies if you choose or you can use the article on your own website.
- Profiled members appear in a BIA-produced ad (size: 6.89 x 11.5) included in the Sunday edition of The Columbus Dispatch.
