Managed by the BIA's Professional Women in Building Council (PWB), the Boneyard is a huge public garage sale of home improvement items donated by BIA members. Proceeds from the sale serve as the primary funding source for the BIA Foundation Scholarships.
The sale features a long list of donated home improvement items, most of which are new. Available items include everything from doors, windows and fire pits to trim, countertops, plumbing fixtures, draperies and many other new, high-end home-related pieces offered at dramatically reduced prices.
In 2015, the Builders Boneyard raised more than $10,000 for the BIA Foundation, which offers scholarship to local students. BIA partner Habitat for Humanity Mid-Ohio also benefits from the Builder's Boneyard, as unsold items are donated to its ReStore to help fund Habitat programs, which help provide safe, quality and affordable homes for area families in need.
