America’s Floor Source Announces the Addition of Michel Vermette as Chief
Executive Officer & Chief Financial Officer
Columbus, Ohio – America’s Floor Source (AFS) is pleased to announce the addition of Michel Vermette to its executive office, as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. AFS is a leading flooring retailer/wholesaler and contractor to the single family, multi-family and commercial industry.

Michel has over thirty years of operational and financial leadership in the building products industry, earned while most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer and board member of Armstrong Flooring Inc. (AFI). While in that role, he led the sale of AFI’s assets to three international consortiums. Prior to that, Vermette led multiple business units as President, and operated in different Chief Financial Officer roles across the globe for Mohawk Industries (MHK).

The founder of America’s Floor Source, Jason Goldberg, has transitioned to the role of Chairman & Chief Operating Officer. Goldberg will continue to be very active in AFS operations. He will focus on continuous process and system improvements, while ensuring unsurpassed service for America’s Floor Source customers. He also remains committed to personnel development, concentrating on training and supporting each employee’s growth to their full potential.

Mike Stinnette, who joined America’s Floor Source in 2018, will remain as President of the company. He will continue to lead day-to-day operations, overseeing the sales and installation teams, and driving the achievements and consistency of each AFS Division – Builder, Commercial, Multi-Family, Retail, and Wholesale. Stinnette previously served as Regional Vice President for Mohawk Flooring and joined America’s Floor Source with a wealth of industry experience and a proven track record. Since that time, the company has doubled its sales volume, expanded to 3 new markets, and added 5 showrooms.

“Jason, Mike and the AFS team have built a great business model and strong operations. AFS has tremendous potential to scale and add new markets,” said Vermette. “I look forward to contributing to the future of AFS. Vermette’s initial focus will be on the strategic road map, and partnerships that will accelerate company growth. He has already begun to establish a capital structure and best processes that will enable America’s Floor Source to scale, and to identify opportunities for improvement.

The first America’s Floor Source showroom opened in July of 2000 behind a small church on Columbus’
southeast side, with a team of six loyal employees and a small base of home builder customers. In its first year, the company did $5 million in sales, an impressive number for a brand-new company. Recent expansion has placed America’s Floor Source among the top-5 flooring companies in the country. Now operating with annual revenue over $190 million.
