August Associates Council Meeting

Kitchens.Inspired. a Division of Big Sandy Superstore was this month’s profile

Talk about luxury! It was a great way to start off any Thursday morning as BIA Associate members made their way to Big Sandy Superstore for the August Associates Council meeting. Council members made their way to the Thermador built-in coffee and espresso maker at one of the store's Kitchens.Inspired. vignettes. With choices between a latte, macchiato, cappuccino or a regular coffee, this could easily be a kitchen must-have! But let’s not stop at coffee, GE sponsored a breakfast prepared by chef, Joe Antol and had the store smelling exquisite. Breakfast pizza’s made with prosciutto, feta, egg, and arugula with dessert bananas foster pizza had the council members enjoying their morning at the Polaris location.

Council members were encouraged to take home their glass coffee mug as well as a Kitchens.Inspired pizza cutter.

The Associates Council meets once a month. A new spin on the meetings includes meeting off-site at a location of one of the associate’s stores, the profile for that month.

“This is a great way for our members to network at the location of another member’s store. What a fantastic way to show off what your company can offer other members here at the BIA.” Said Linda Winrod, Membership Sales Director.

How do you become a profile? Just let Winrod know ahead of the upcoming meeting. “Being a profile is an easy way to share with fellow BIA members about the great work your company is doing and a way to encourage the association to do business with other members.” Said Winrod, “it’s just another great benefit of being a part of the BIA.”

Cathy Polta, of Kitchens.Inspired, this month’s Associate Council profile gave a brief overview of her company. Polta explained that they do a lot of built-in work and work with folks who are remodeling. “Usually when a customer is building or remolding, they will pick their appliances first, then cabinetry and then have the rest of the kitchen.” Explained Polta, “the last thing that gets delivered in the house before it’s finished is the appliances. So, we are the first in last out.”

Looking for a way to have your own chef? “When a customer buys a premium kitchen, our chef will go out to their home and cook a meal for them for four to six people,” said Polta.

The next Associate’s Council meeting will be in September date and location are TBA. If you are interested in hosting the September Associates Council contact Linda Winrod.
