BIA appoints 2019 President

Matt Callahan, vice president of land acquisition of Pulte Homes with 25 years of experience in the home building industry, was installed as the 2019 President of the Building Industry of Central Ohio (BIA) during the association's EXPO ’19 trade show at the Ohio Expo Center.
Callahan began working in the homebuilding industry in 1993. He worked in development with Dominion Homes until their assets were acquired by Pulte Homes in 2014 when he then became Pulte’s Division Vice President Land Acquisition.
"This year the BIA will be working proactively with public officials and local governments to foster an environment where homebuilders can better serve the demand in the Central Ohio Housing market” said Callahan. "We want to ensure that the Columbus region will be able to meet that demand as it relates to the future growth of the regions overall economy and the homebuilding industry’s role as a job creator."
Callahan has been active in BIA leadership throughout his career. He started attending Builders and Developers Council meetings 19 years ago. He and has served on the BIA Board of Trustees since 2012 and is a member of the BIA Executive Board.
He and his wife Suzi reside in Dublin and have four children. They enjoy vacationing together out west with family trips to the beach. In the summer they can be found attending baseball games together for fun.
