Invitation to Bidders - posted July 28, 2010

Proposals will be received via email, fax or hard copy at the office of Hanlin Rainaldi Construction Corp. located at 6610 Singletree Drive Columbus 43229 until 10:00 am on August 12, 2010 for the labor and material necessary for the Whittier Landing project. Whittier Landing is situated on the east side of Columbus between Parsons Avenue and Fairborn Avenue. The project consists of 24 new single family residences and the complete renovation of 16 single family residences.

All interested bidders are strongly encouraged to attend one of the two scheduled pre-bid meetings on Tuesday, August 3 or Friday, August 6 from 10:00 am until approximately 12:00 pm at the following location: 876 Linwood Ave., Columbus, OH 43206. All remodel homes will be open after the pre-bid meeting for walkthroughs until 3:30 pm. It is strongly recommended that all bidders take the time to walk through each home scheduled to be renovated.

Job Opening: Non-Credit Instructor / Energy Auditor - posted July 7, 2010

Columbus State Community College is seeking a Non-Credit Instructor - Energy Auditor for the Energy Auditor Certification Preparation. This course trains students how to be BPI Building Analysts (energy auditors) and prepares them for the BPI national written and field exam.

Job duties include:

  • Instruction of Energy Auditor Certification Preparation course
  • Proctor written and field exams for BPI Building Analyst Certification
  • Must participate in a field shadow with qualified BPI staff (provided by CSCC)

 Qualifications:

  • Must have BPI certification as a Building Analyst
  • Experience with instructing
  • Experience in home audits and assisting home owners in reducing costs
  • Must have excellent communication and computer skills
  • Must have 3 years energy conservation experience and/or 3 years of home renovation experience
  • Must have access to BPI recommended diagnostic products for training and field exams
